Reader comment on item: Amazon.com's Koran Desecration Problem

Submitted by Elaine Nugent (United States), May 20, 2005 at 12:36

On my first visit to Israel in 1968 I saw the desecration of the Mount of Olives cemetery, the oldest Jewish cemetary in the world....It was done by Arabs in the years before Israelis reclaimed Jerusalem..Synagogues were sacked..and this all under the eyes of Christians who were free to worship under the arabs..Jewish tombstones were used to pave roads and walk ways..Never a complaint by christians or the United nations!
