Agenda: special privileges

Reader comment on item: Amazon.com's Koran Desecration Problem

My personal opinion is that this is definitely a hoax designed to perpetuate this victimhood thing they're on. By creating an aura of grievance and victimization, they hope to acquire special protections and laws for Muslims in your country. They managed to do that in one of our PC states, Victoria (Australia), with the insidious religious anti-vilification law. Be careful you don't end up with the same in your own country, or at least in some of your more PC states. We see here how it is used (abused) – basically to shut down even the most innocuous discussions of Islam; to protect their ideology from close analysis and scrutiny. They do not want us knowing the real Islam and its agenda. Only the sanitized, filtered, white-washed version.

Although I am angered and frustrated at Amazon's capitulation, unfortunately, I feel that Amazon did the only thing it could do, given whom they are dealing with. These are Islamists. These are not people we can communicate with on an equal, civilized level. We use words and seek to reach a level of mutual understanding. They use threats – of costly lawsuits and damaging publicity. They have an agenda. To induce our Submission. No ‘live and let live'. No getting along. No assimilation. It's their way or the highway. Bit by bit, they chip away at our freedoms, with help from our own laws and institutions.

The one good thing about this incident is the negative view of Islam more people are getting. They see the double standards, the hypocrisy, the easy way they use threats and lies, the disgusting way they twist & distort events to try to look like the victims, spitting in the faces of the true victims. It's great publicity for the reality of Islam. Keep it up, Islam. You're your own worst PR machine.

Maintain the rage, America, and the world. Tell your friends and family about this, for the MSM doesn't seem to be doing so. And kudos to everyone who wrote to Amazon. I'll be doing the same, using your examples for my own letter.
