Reader comment on item: Amazon.com's Koran Desecration Problem

Why would a Muslim and a Ph.D. candidate at one of our most distinguished universities feel the need to buy a used Koran through the Internet? And as a "Global Fellow" and author of numerous papers with such titles as "Memories of Islam" and "Feminism Within Islamic Thought," one would think she would have a few copies already! There's something not right here.
