Reader comment on item: Amazon.com's Koran Desecration Problem

Submitted by Parvi R. (United States), May 22, 2005 at 13:13

Dear Patty Smith

I hear some noisy Muslims are up in arms against you and the Amazon.

As a Muslim, I ask you to recall the blasphemous contempt Muslims of Taliban variety showed to the standing statue of Buddha in Bamian, Afghanistan.Remember how there was precious little condemnation coming from Muslims for that dastrdly deed?

Mob being mob, whether they be called Taliban or MPAC,it is important that they be firmly oppposed.

Please:

Answer the MPAC firmly in the negative.
Offer no public condemnations.
Send no money to MPAC.

Regards
Parviz R.
