in response to reader comment: Radical in Australia

Michael C,

it would seem that we have the same problem in Australia with the liberals who have invaded the judiciary as well as the public service and politics. The policy for well over 30 years has been that of appeasement towards a people who are not willing to bend and blend with the rest of the nation. This is a serious problem.

We have a chapter of an Islamic organization that has now been banned in Britain. I heard on the radio that this chapter in Sydney is under surveillance to ensure that they are not encouraging acts of terrorism. However, the government has not taken steps to ban this organization. I believe that it is a mistake not to declare this particular organization an outlaw in Australia.

If we want to be seen to be tough, if we want to get tough then we have to make the tough and unpopular decisions. We have to make sure that the people who are encouraging acts of terrorism are dealt with in an appropriate manner, and that includes stripping them of citizenship and sending them back to the country of origin. I am also of the view that we should not appease these people by allowing them to introduce the wearing of the burqa since this goes well beyond the idea of traditional dress.

I am just as critical of "Christian" sects that insist upon the women wearing scarves on their heads as I am of the insistence that the Muslim women must wear the veil. I see it as a form of the subjugation of women. It is not a practice of equality of the sexes, that one sees in normal Christian households as well as in Jewish (yes and even some Muslim) households. It is encouraged for a number of reasons and the religosity behind the wearing of the veil is lost when it is being used for political purposes.

France tried to ban the wearing of the veil at school but the Muslims are so numerous that their protests were heard around the world. They also tried to ban the wearing of the cross, which attacked a Christian symbol. The French legislation went too far in its intention. The French government has shown itself to be weak in seeking solutions to the present crisis.

Germany has a different problem, for it is in Germany where the terrorists who bombed New York had been hiding. It would seem to me that the Germans have been very slack in not policing the activity of its migrants. It is as if the Germans have in some way been sponsoring Islamofacism. The evidence that Germany has been playing a minor role is available, since there seems to be a link between the mosque in Munich and the Islamic Brotherhood, which is the root of the terror that we are witnessing today. Germany needs to do more about controlling the activities of terrorists. Is it coincidence that the Israeli athletes were murdered in Munich? I do not think that it was coincidence at all. Having learned of the connection between the mosque and the facist nazi regime of the past, I do believe that it is plausible that this mosque should be shut down for good, since it would appear that here we have in Europe one source for the sponsorship of terrorism in the world.

The other former facist country is Italy. Was it coincidence that the Achille Lauro just happened to be a ship owned by Italy? The early terrorists picked easy targets because they had the best access to those targets due to the slackness of the governments of the day.

I keep hearing the Islamic apologists bring up the subject of poverty. However, there is no poverty in Saudi Arabia and the vast majority of suicide bombers come from Saudi Arabia. Even in Yemen there is no real poverty, and it is Yemen that sponsors much of the terrorist attack. The excuse of poverty is nothing more than a smokescreen in an attempt to hide the truth about the real reason for this widespread terror.

There is no reason why Hezbollah and Hamas could not live in peace. These are not poor people. They are well fed and they have work. They do not want to live in peace. They want to continue causing the ferment so that they can achieve their goals of taking over the world.
