in response to reader comment: Muslims are responsible for explaining the Qur'an

Oh, so many things i would love to talk about in your post but i'll stick to just two.

you said...
"Even now, if we have 100 Muslims fighting 500 Non Muslims and both sides have the same number of horses and swords, islam will prevail! If anyone accepts challenge, we can make a try! "

Wow. I wouldnt doubt this for one moment. We in the west, you see, have very little experience in horse riding and probably haven't done so for 100yrs now, and the closest we get to a Sword is a nice sharp knife to carve up our chops on thursday night.

you also said....
"Let us all respect each other and have debates in the TV internationally. We can have the top Islam scholars and they they will win against anyone who is debating them."

I agree on the respect part. Its a superb concept. Lets hope we can all continue to embrace it. But the statement about Islam scholars defeating Anyone in a debate is a bit presumptuous.

You know what Mohammed, close to the end of the old crusades the west was in some ways struggling to keep the Muslim ferocity at bay. In the midst of all these goings on a fantastic thing was happening, The Renaissance, born from a mixture of Roman values, medieval piety, and a unique respect for commerce and entrepreneurialism, which then led to other movements like humanism, the Scientific Revolution, and the Age of Exploration. Even while fighting for its life, Europe was preparing to expand on a global scale.

So all of a sudden a new powerful and wealthy Europe had rendered the once fearsome Muslim armies obsolete and simply no longer worth a crusade , and pretty much since this time the middle east has festered in a big mess, yet you claim your scholars can out gun any other ??
