Dear Haseeb

the word 'Sahih' means as you well know..'strong and accepted'. Your response to something uncomfortable is the standard and predictable Muslim one "what would you know" etc.. or.. mentioning about weak hadith.

Death Bed Curse.

This hadith was narrated by Aisha AND ibn Abbas. It was checked by Bukhari as 'sahih'. Aisha's narrations were transmitted strongly, so I don't see any particular problem with this one. My simple test on the validity of a hadith is 'whether it is used as a basis for Islamic jurisprudence' and I find most if not all, are. That leads us to a) The sunni/shia split, and b) The various 'schools' of jurispridence but in neither case is there any reason to suspect this hadith is weak or incorrect. Why ? Because most muslims would consider the reasons for it to be quite valid "They build Churches near the graves of their prophets". In so doing, of course they misunderstand Christianity. But never mind.

Omar planning to invade.... Al Mughira reciting the Quran about "Our Prophet, the Messenger of our Lord, has ordered us to fight you till you worship Allah Alone or give Jizya (i.e. tribute) wellll...that is simply cofirmed by Tabari and others. It should not be a bone of contention, it simply shows them fulfilling the Quranic injunction, what it ALSO DOES though is demonstrate the 'spin' offered by Muslims today trying to tell us that Muslims are only allowed to fight 'defensive' battles against aggressors. This shows that to be simply a convenient sugar coating to suck people in, and make the religion look more benign. The reality is that the early companions and the prophet clearly understood these Quranic injunctions as they acted, i.e. to fight people till they worship Allah or pay the tribute. OFFENSIVELY... INVADING... etc..

Such a view is supported by numerous sources, not only the many many hadith on the 'Battles fought by the Prophet' but also by a very reliable ancient document "MAGHAZI" written by Al Wakidi in his own hand.. i.e. it is not a copy, but his own physical writing.

Lets examine Muslim Book 19: 4294 Without repeating the whole thing, the context is abundantly clear that this is referring to OFFENSIVE jihad.. otherwise it would a) Not be talking about 'don't kill the children' b) Nor would it be referring to 'offer them 3 courses' etc.. which include migrate from their lands..WHICH YOU ARE INVADING....

This hadith ALSO quotes the Quranic injunction [Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war,] and further it refers to beseiging forts...now.. its very hard to beseige the fort of those ATTACKING you.. no, not at all, it is the Muslims doing the attacking.

So, the understanding I am offering is supported by

a)Quran

b) Hadith Bukhari

c) Hadith Muslim

d) Tabiri and Al Wakidi

My only point in all this, is that modern Muslims claiming "Islam can only fight defensively" and that it did not spread by the Sword is not only wrong, it is an outright lie.

There is a seminar in Sydney coming up, and its about 'Kalipha' seeking to establish a Caliphate in Australia, run by Hizb Ut Tahrir and I have already contacted 150 surf lifesaving clubs and churches to come and protest at the venue. We will make this point very clear, about the lie of Isalm.

On your point about Trinity... I don't think I mentioned it much did I ?

Your problem is this dear Haseeb, you have accepted the 'Muslim upbringing and culture' without questioning it, and then, you are 'transferring' this distored view back onto the Christian understanding of God, and our Scriptures. The problem is, Christ rose from the dead, and touched the life of Paul, and Jesus during his earthly life did so many thing, including raising even the dead.. giving sight to the blind from birth, healing paralyzed people.. etc etc.. even demonstrating control over storms.

In fact..he showed sovereignty over every area of life 1) Sickness 2) Demons 3)Nature 4) Life/death ...yet you expect us to simply believe the word of some Arab who appears to have had mental problems, attempted or contemplated suicide, and then indulged himself with uncountable women for sex....over the word of the pure and Holy Lord Jesus ? My friend..that defies even the most optimistic imagination :)

In my case..I have FELT His divine touch, His glorious healing.. I KNOW the feeling of having a broken bone healed INSTANTLY.. .. I know the flood of his loving presence flowing through my body, not knowing even what was happening.. not having asked for it... I felt it..I know it..and I testify in His glorious name to you now..that He lives, will return.. and awaits your open heart so that He may come in. He wants you.. your heart, your mind, and your will. Almighty God knocks now... "may I come in Haseeb...? " "These things are written, that you may believe, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, you might have LIFE in His name".... that life is available to you Haseeb.. right now if you humble yourself before God.. and open your heart.

Amen

Submitting....
