Why do they terrorize

Reader comment on item: What Do Terrorists Want? [A Caliphate and Shari'a]

Submitted by Philip Snyder (United States), Jul 26, 2005 at 18:24

Mr Anonymous (Michael Scheuer) has explained why in his book "Imperial Hubris." which I am sure you have read. What is your opinion on his explanation?

He believes, In summary, they do not hate us for what we are or think (our culture, freedom, etc.), but for what we have done ( US actions in the Islamic world). He says that Osama bin Laden has clearly stated his reasons for Jihad, but we did not pay attention to his words.
