Reader comment on item: What Do Terrorists Want? [A Caliphate and Shari'a]

Submitted by HARRY (United States), Jul 26, 2005 at 16:53

I think that you give the terrorists too much credit. Today's terrorists are simply haters and destroyers. They may want an Islamic world, bit they have no plans on how to organize such a community.

Their only capability is terrorism. They rush to take credit for the murder and destruction they achieve. As you point out, they have no demands.

Success for the terrorists would not make them happy or satisfy their needs, They would start searching for new enemies and heretics to murder and destroy among their own community. Chaos is all they accomplish.

This is why it is imperative to defeat and destroy today's terrorists. We can never satisfy their needs. It is a waste of time to guess what the terrorists want. They want to destroy even if it means their own destruction.
