Dear Maggie,

Armenians were living in eastern Anatolia long before Turks came to Anatolia. When Turks first entered to anatolia they helped them in the wars against the Greeks. turks and Armeniaians lived mixed in peace for 1000 years inside the Ottoman empire. There were no racism, they practiced their religion freely. Thats why still there are so many churches around here. Except beeing a Sultan they came to the highest positions in the army, government and everyplace. İn fact they were more respected than the muslim Turks in the empire. many mosques which are magnificent were designed by them. they were rich. They were living all over Turkey in every city. they were mainly businessman and artists.

İn the 1850 s Ottoman empire started to break down and started to lose their lands. England provocated the Christian states from Hungary to bulgaria first and then muslim countries from Morocco to Iraq which were under Ottoman rule. Slowly we lost all of them and todays Balkan states and arab states came out. And finally after losing in Gallipoli (what were your Australian people were doing there anyway?), England wanted to finish the empire completely by taking our mainland Anatolia also. and they gave weapons and encouraged the Armenians to rebel against Turks. İn the west of Turkey Armenians didnt rebel, but the ones in eastern anatolia joined English. they started to attack burn the villages and kill the Turks. then Armenians started to take the eastern cities because there were no Turkish soldiers around. Turks were fighting with Russians in the north, with greeks in the west, with the french in the south and no land was left to live for the Turks except Ankara region.

At the same time Armenians from the inside of the country started to hit. This was a very very bloody war all over anatolia. We lost half of our population, but we won finally. after this period Turks did not forgive the Armenians for what they did and government took a decision to send all of them (not the ones in the western cities) out of Turkey. regardless if they were the guilty ones or not.

babies, women, old all of them started to walk out of Turkey to Syria. Many of them died on the way ,some of them were raped by Turks who wanted to take revenge, their money was stolen. this time Armenians never forgot what we did to them. After 100 years they still remember it.Turks shouldnt have done this .only the guilty ones should have been punished.if armenians were here today,İt would have been a different taste of my country. today they hate us but we dont hate them.İn fact personally ı find them the closest people to ours although they are christians. Their music, food ,their look is the same of us.ı really hope that one day they can come back to their original lands back and live together in peace with us again. since those days Turks are very much scared from Christianity.because england finished our empire using the power of religions.Turks started to be paronoid about Christianity and radical İslam also. Atatürk,our great leader opened war against radical İslam 80 years ago.so it sounds funny to me to be asked to join the fight against radical islam. Who wants that. the true Muhammeds islam is ours. Many muslims feel the same way but they cant express their feelings.

so do you think that what happened to armenians is a genocide. No it is not. genocide is What the Germans did to Jews. They made soap from their bodies, killed them in the gas rooms. What was their guilt? Did they hit Germany from the back. No. it is not the same thing.
