Reader comment on item: What Do Terrorists Want? [A Caliphate and Shari'a]

Been thinking...

There's an elephant in the room!

For almost sixty years "mutually assured destruction" was what kept the Soviet Union at bay.

Everyone knows that Muslim terrorists would love nothing better than to get a few nukes into the U.S. and do another 9-11 with them. In fact, a lot of folks are saying that "it is just a matter of time".

Like the weather, we all talk about it, but no one does anything about it!

Why haven't some of our politicians begun talking about how we would respond?

We preprogrammed our missiles with the addresses of the Kremlin, etc. Why not put the Muslim World on notice: Now that the threat is different, we have now reprogrammed the missiles with the address of Muslim cities , etc.

This would put control of the situation directly in the hands in their hands. Oh, there'd be a huge hew and cry, maybe a riot or two in Detroit, but guess what? When they realized what's at stake, they'd start ratting out their brothers! Heck, we might even have a new ally in the War on Terror...the Muslim World itself!

Next problem...
