I guess Islamism is going to be our cross to bear in the foreseeable future, because there is no way the Caliphate is going to be established now. Why didn't Bin Laden stop while he was ahead and had control of Afghanistan. Now he's torn it and the only way out looks to be non-stop fighting around the globe until most of them die of old age if we don't get them.

In fact, unless we develop some strategies for dealing with the bombers such as incarcerating the families of all bombers, dead or alive, and deporting them or keeping them in permanent detention as a deterrent, we'll just be taking all the hits with no progress.

So far the jihadis seem to be winning most of the battles, at least against the soft targets. Today I read that Iraq plans to make Islam the 'official' religion of Iraq and Sharia the law.
