Don't fool yourself harrakReader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by Richard Lion heart (United States), May 11, 2006 at 18:52 All your talk about Iranian power and fatwas sound like the rantings of a mad mullah. As of now Iran does not have nukes and it will stay that way. If the Russians were to turn their backs on Iran tomorrow these mad mullahs wouldn't know what to do with themselves. Without Russia Iran is nothing. Like Shimon Peres said, Iran can be destroyed. You know Israel has the hydrogen bomb right? So yes Iran can be destroyed. Why would you like to see the Israelis destroy the Palestinians, when you know they can. Unlike blood thirsty Iranians, Jews don't destroy people. You need to get back to reality. Iran is 60 years behing the U.S when it comes to nuclear technology. What do you think would happen in case of a nuclear exchange. It would be better for them not to have the bomb. If they do? Can they resist the temptation of giving it to terrorist to detonate in an American or European city? If God forbids that happens. What would the western response be do you think? I would like your answer on that one. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
