The only moral way to deal with Iran

Reader comment on item: Deterring Tehran

Submitted by Ralph C Whaley MD (United States), May 9, 2006 at 17:14

Iran is at war with America having taken the first action in 1979 by occupying our Teheran embassy and holding American citizens prisoners of war. The attacks have continued with increasing frequency and destructive consequences. Does anyone not remember 9/11/2001? Iran is the ideological source, the political and financial enabler of multiple attacks on American citizens and their property. Those attacks deserve the same punishment that we imposed on Japan for the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941. We have the capability to deliver such punishment in a matter of days. The missing ingredient is the moral confidence and righteous indignation to act.
