A Congress of Chamberlain

"While we may have time before a bomb materializes we do not have time before his pustch is complete. The time to strike Hitler was on his way up." True enough.

But have you noticed, Paul, the distinct absense of backbone in the US Congress? I often drive by Sam Rayburn's house in Bonham, Texas. It's a simple place where he lived with his sisters. He never married. The House of Representatives was his life. He died with little money in the bank. Dennis Hassertt (however you spell his name) is no Sam Rayburn. Bold, necessary action takes strong men and women with will and courage. Today, Lilliputians are in charge. You really see the will to do what needs doing? I don't, and hope I'm wrong.
