Reader comment on item: Deterring Tehran

I happened to listen to about 5 minutes of a CBC radio program -- I was forced to turn the radio off. The host of the program went on a rant -- subject? GW Bush. Reason for "outrage"? That Bush was turning the U.S. government into a theocracy (along with the Republican party.) The radio host -- as is usual for such spewers -- gave little to no evidence of said "theocratization" of the U.S. government. Again, it's as if the only thing motivating the "thoughts" of said individuals is a profound animus -- sheer hatred -- of the United States. It's something so totally irrational -- bizarre -- I can only liken it to a deeply disturbed psychological disease. This same host of the program has never once (to my knowledge) said *anything* untoward about the crazed Mullahs in Iran or against Islamists in general or, for that matter, Islamic terrorism. Islam is the teflon religion.

This same delusional host then went on to mention the other "topics" of the upcoming program, which I refused to listen to...this included the so-called conundrum of "feminism" linked with "pacifism" and what to do about Taliban-like Mullahs who despise women... The host apparently felt that to go against the Mullahs (or the Taliban) by *any* use of military force is a betrayal of "feminism" -- as I laugh. Think about that one...the sheer absurdity is mind boggling...But that is the state of affairs in Canada...better to have women be-headed, stoned to death, tortured or mutilated rather than risk appearing "too militant." Yeah, don't want to get the Mullahs upset...

Canada -- what a country..Perhaps this explains why Canadians never rebelled against the Brits...
