Reader comment on item: Deterring Tehran

Submitted by gary (United States), May 10, 2006 at 19:57

folks,

do any of you think in your wildest dreams that iran is going to fire an icbm at the united states. get real. the iranian government is far too intelligent to do that. their aim is to get the technology, develop the weapon and have one of their wonderful terrorist friends, whom they fund by the way, smuggle it into the united states and detonate it in downtown manhattan or another heavily populated area. this way iran can claim it didnt do it.

and as the world starts to fail in its response to hamas, even giving them a penny of aid is a huge mistake, it will not be long before the blood is flowing in gaza and israel proper again. even bush caved in but thats not hard to imagine. the problem in the united states is our lack of leadership and can be blamed directly on the american people for allowing our political parties to put up morons and then voting them into office. we need a leader who will take action now as the us is under seige. most of our friends are little better then our enemies. the only country in the world that consistently backs our policies is israel, half out of obligation and half because they understand that in the long run the world would be a much better place with the us leading it then with a nation like iran leading it. thus, its time to take off the gloves and let the president of iran know he is inferior to us and if he doesnt bow to our will he will disappear. end of story. no consultation with china or russia or especially the joke called the un. every day we wait just enboldens these jungle animals. like it or not, there is no peaceful solution. get ready for war because its coming. the pigs are on the wing and they are getting closer every day.
