Deterring TehranReader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by Debbie (United States), Jul 13, 2008 at 16:39 I totally agree with Mr. Pipes on all the facts he has stated, also read a great deal of the comments on this real and threatening problem. There are a few ways to deal with this growing threat, sanctions will not work, someone else takes the government over from within, but at what risk to themselves, and 3rdly, there is a coordinated strike. There are enough military experts, great minds, and fire power to be able to locate and destory all nuclear sites. The World faces a nuclear Iran, now or 6 months from now, either way, it is not going to be pleasant. It should be totally obvious to the whole world, the position Iran has put us in, due to their arrogance, hatred, and lack of respect for Human life. The stakes are bigger than we have ever faced in all of history. In the past, sane responsible countries have had access to nuclear weapons, the trigger wasn't controlled by maniacs. Every country faces this threat. Strategic Defense Initiative is a necessary countermeasure also. This is being discussed all over the US, and it is going to force us to deal with the problem.
