"true believer" tells truthReader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by LDC (United States), May 11, 2006 at 16:58 "It reminded me of the Cuban missile crisis in the 60s when Kennedy's strong "come what may happen" stand made Khrushchev buckle within a week." Me, too, "true believer." What in the world happened to the political party of which FDR, Harrry T, and JFK were leaders? Harry Reid, Nancy Polici & John Kerry? I recently read a book about General Vo Ngukyen Giap--the N. Vietnamese military genius that beat the French and then the US. I think he's still alive. Maybe we could offer him a contract to take over our confrontation with Iran. Something equal to what Howard Stern is getting, about 100 million a year for 5 years, with a renewal option. He, Giap, doesn't have much money these day. Maybe. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
