Let themReader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by Vic Coffey (United States), May 10, 2006 at 05:31 It seems to me that members of the UN are mostly an anti-American lot who will do anything to antagonize the US or Israel. Mabe the best thing to do is call the UN's bluff. Let the world move a step further toward nuclear confrontation. This spells consequences for many of our opponents who have oil and other economic ties to the region. Let alone neighbors who may suffer from the fallout. Make it clear to them that ANY nuclear weapons detonations ANYWHERE coming from Iran will be met with immediate incendiary response. Remind them we live 4000 miles away and buy nothing from Iran. See if this will get China, Russia and mabe some others to quit their little political games. With the exception of Israel, they have much more to lose than we do.
