OK, maybe Italy

Point taken. Maybe Italy would join in. But Germany? Canada? Either would be astonishing. I believe Germany has a deep, moral obligation to do and risk whatever it takes to make sure that Israel is not "wiped off the face of the map." But I doubt that they share that notion. Got your point on Italy, though. Hope your right. But it's based on the Afgan-involvement premise. Isn't France there, too. NATO obligations may not transfer, is what I'm thinking. But like the rest of us, I really don't know.
