Those who describe the situation in Iraq as war look at the world though a very muddy lens. The only reason why our troops are occasionally being killed is entirely due to the fact that we have been treating the Iraqis with 'kid gloves' and not actually occupying the country in the manner of a hostile invader.

It's been more akin to the role of referee in a rough school full of dirty uncivilised children than that of invader. Iranian commentators would do well to remember than a fraction of our military forces accomplished in a matter of DAYS what they were unable to achieve in a full scale war that lasted for an entire DECADE! If the gloves did come off there would be some very bloody Iranian noses with very little effort on the part of the Coalition of the Willing...
