Assuming Iran is pursuing a nuke weapons program. The choices are clear either the Iranians decide not to pursue these weapons or they countinue to. We in the west generally will either accept this course or not.Theres not much middle ground in this current phase. Thus far the Iranians have moved forward carefully gauging the course ahead.Theres no mistaking the Iranian Islamic ideals. Basically the government of Iran is Islamic hardcore without much compromise. This is challenging to the west generally in many areas geopolitically and idleologically here and abroad. One should sense this conflict in a larger context. Realigen is at the very heart of the current situation. Isreal is based on a relgious tradtion. No way around it. Its fact.Sure secularism exists but if its ideals cant recongnize the nature of the conflict being waged in the mideast, and west generally, its ideals of are of little value. Whether one holds to a relgious tradition or rejects such things. To deny the relgious obviousness of the current global climate is to be nearly blinded to reality.

Now how does this reflect on the Iranian nuke aspirations. Well i know of no other country or group of countries that hold nuke weapons as a relgious notion.Indeed these weapons are appocaliptic by very design. But the US and other nuke arsenal states do not flaunt these weapons as a relgious duty or as a power of heavenly magnitude. To prove that there are or their relgios tradition is correct. This is the subtle but necessary line between responsible and not responsible nuke states. The line is thus these weapons are of such a appocalptic nature they must not be pursued. But to do so in religious overtones can not be accepted because these weapons are precisely of an appocoliptic nature. The more these weapons spread, the closer and shorter the fuse becomes. And for the mid east to have such a conflict brewing is of a perculiarly eerie feeling. The entire global system has been built idealy to stop such a inevitable event. Ultimately the direction of earth may be set. But even so the global system recognizes the need to avoid it, even if fruitless.A nd possibly acting as an instrument for the inevitable.

This is the dillema faced right now. If Iran achieves nukes the globe is that much closer to the big one. If they dont, some other state will follow the course of nuke weapons. But for the Mullahs of Iran to achieve such weapons is truly a glimpse of catastrophy. I know its a little long winded and a bit messy but its a reasonably sound analysis of the current affair.
