Wishful ThinkingReader comment on item: Deterring Tehran Submitted by John Doe (United States), May 10, 2006 at 15:53 I have read the letter sent by the Iranian President to Bush and must say it appears that he at least wants the US to attack them or may even be inclined to attack us. it is becoming obvious that their pursuit of these weapons is designed to encourage an attack by the west. They want us to do it so that the Islamic world will solidify with them against us.. They are still at war with us. It is becoming increasingly obvious that not only is Al Quida attempting to extend our military and draw in new islamic recruits but so to is Iran. A war between civilizations is exactly what they want. I'm not so sure we can prevent it.
