i agreeReader comment on item: If the King of Pop[, Michael Jackson,] Converts to Islam Submitted by leila yussef (Australia), May 27, 2006 at 05:17 i love michael jackson and he would be a welcome edition to the glorious faith of Islam...i am so incredibly proud of my religion i cant put it in words. Michael has been known throughout his career for having strong personal convictions....especially with the fact that he doesnt believe in pre marital sex. many people who had lived a life of strong religious values before entering the entertainment industry, abandoned their beliefs, because hollywood is so morally bankrupt.... i believe michael was special..his mother clearly did a great job of raising him. i dont believe he has the capacity to commit the crimes of which he was accused, i think the fact that he did maintain his convictions and morals in hollywood where this is even condemed play a part in the hatrid that certain people feel for him...and i think his extreme generousity played against him whereby it allowed him to be manipulated by money hungry slime. i do really hope with all my heart that he has converted to islam.. and as a shia Muslim i hope he does some campaigning for the unity of islam... cos he would make for a very influential spokesperson.if in fact he has converted i would like to welcome my brother.. May ALLAH accept his submission, and accept him into paradise. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
