When a person comes to faith in Christ, and any person who brings the good news of the gospel knows that the process of repentence and conversion is a lifetime commitment or process. Because of the sinful nature of humanity; starting with original sin, people who become Christians not only make a commitment to Christ but also recieved baptisim. It is because of the love of Christ by his suffering and death on a cross makes forgiveness and salvation possible. When a Christian believer sins, the person can repent and simply begin again. In other words, when you fall down you just simply get up, dust the dirt off and start all over again. But one must be willing to turn away from sin and accept the Gospel. When it comes to money, the money is donated in order to take care of the living expenses of those who do missionary work.

Temptation to sin by the world, the flesh, and the devil must be resisted, but when a Christian does sin, the believer knows that the Lord can and does forgive. The passage of which you refer to about cutting one's hand off means not to cut the hand off but to resist temptation. In no way what I had commented in the prior posting was to justify sin that is going on in the world at large. What was said about allowing for sin is not true.

It is also not true that the Bible has been altered. The God who created the world in all that is in the world also became human because of his love for his greatest part of creation, humanity. Jesus is spoken in prophecy and realized it when he suffered and died on the cross. The New Testament fulfills what the Old Testament spoke of.
