Infidel, I fully agree with your comments on the legitimacy of Israel and may I add the follwoing:

If one cares to make an honest unbiased analysis of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, it will be apparent to a anyone that even as the militant Palestinian groups continue daily to target innocent Israeli civilians including women and children with tacit encouragement from the Muslim world, the Israelis target only the militants who are hell bent on the destruction of Israel & killing civilians. Of course, in this process sometimes an innocent Palestinian too may lose their life, due to the nature of the conflict; but they have never been the target.

Muslims and their camp followers who say that Israel is an illegal state, that it is a colonial creation, that is created out a Palestinian homeland are also completely missing the historical facts. Israel was legally created by a UN resolution. There was NEVER in history something called a Palestinian state, while historical facts prove beyond any doubt the presence of a historical KINGDOM OF ISRAEL. Jews have a historical right to a homeland, just like everyone else in the world. They did not just drop from outer space.

One hears every day that Zionism being an evil and racist ideology. Does any of these people really know what Zionism is all about? Zionism is in essence a very simple desire of the Jewish people to have their own homeland – nothing evil at all. If Zionism is so evil and dangerous, why is that 20 percent of the population of Israel are Arabs, who have full citizenship rights in the state of Israel . Due to the on going indiscriminate killing of Jews by Muslim suicide bombers, one would think that there would be discrimination against the Israeli Arabs, but there is none whatsoever. Most of them enjoy a better standard of living than non-Israeli Arabs.

The basic truth is that all this hate spewed at Israel and Jews is simply the result of religious extremism among Muslims, however, the fact is that many of the progressive Muslims worldwide have accepted and have made attempts to build bridges with the Israelis. In addition Egypt & Jordan have signed peace treaties with Israel, also a number of progressive Muslim countries have relations, including high level military cooperation with Israel such as Turkey & Morocco , which are over 99 percent Muslim.

Few Muslim countries who have nothing to do with Israel or the conflict, go into such a frenzy at the mere mention of the name Israel and often retorts to statements like ‘Zionist illegal regime'. If Israel and the Jews are a bunch of cold- blooded murderers who are anti-Islam as some Muslims think, who are no where near the conflict area, why do all these overwhelmingly Muslim countries decide to have links with Israel ?

It is quite evident that there is nothing that Israel has done that deserves such negative views by these Muslim countries, one should not be blind to the truth and cause to hold such unjustified negative views of the Jews and Israel.
