a point needs to be reiterated: in many instances, Muslims indeed have not been better than Jews or Christians because as humans we all share the same propensity to act in flawed manners...however this similarity does not logically mean that then the systems are equivalent in any negative or positive aspect.

An examination of the tenets of Islam clearly shows that the mistreament, racism against, and cruelty towards Africans by Arabs is not "islamic". Here, Muslims who engaged in these practices clearly abandoned the moral teachings of Islam and did not, nor could not, use the Quran or Sunnah of Muhammad to justify them....In contrast, you find in christiandom various religious justifications used to make African slavery virtually an institution whose effects ripple on even to today...
