Reader comment on item: King of Pop Michael Jackson and Black Converts to Islam

Submitted by Michael Bernet (United States), Mar 8, 2006 at 13:24

Fans of Michael Jackson will recall that not too many years ago he was partnering with Rabbi Shmuley (Kosher Sex) Boteach, to talk about love, love of children etc. e.g.

Boteach also took Michael Jackson to a round of synagogues.

Daniel Pipes wrote:
"These and other examples establish Islam – in both its normative and Nation variants – as a leading solace for African-Americans in need."

As a psychologist, I venture to be more specific. Islam allows its adherents to view themselves as superior to the rest of the world, it gives justification to their sense of grievance, and gives permission to their inner rage.
