Reader comment on item: King of Pop Michael Jackson and Black Converts to Islam

Submitted by Peter J. Herz (United States), Mar 19, 2006 at 14:54

Jose: You speak of a "Stop" sign at the southern border of the US. Could it be the Mexican border city of Matmoros (Killer of Moors in Spanish)?

Baneeskhan: Christians see no contradiction in applying the titles Son of Man and God Incarnate to Jesus Christ. "Son of Man" is a designation of the Messiah found in Daniel 7. The fact that God became man and dwelt among us (as in John One) indicates such an identification with us that He is willing to be part of us, including sharing our full humanity. The bigger illogicalities are that Islam speaks of Jesus as Isa al-Masih (obviously an Arabization of the Hebrew Yeshua HaMeshiach), yet claims that Muhammad has the more perfect revelation; and that Islam admits that Jesus is, body and soul, in heaven while Muhammad sleeps in the dust of Medina along with the rest of the dead, awaiting the Day in which both of us have staked our souls.
