A child submits to Parental Code for upbringing, a man makes his own choice.Reader comment on item: Barack Obama through Muslim Eyes Submitted by Jacqueline Woodley (Aruba), Jan 23, 2009 at 10:50 It amazes me to see how quick the media would take the upbringing of one and turn it into what it's not supposed to be. I realize in this world today little respect is paid to "obey your parents". The child Obama is by inherritence Muslim. The man Obama made his own choice and voiced it. That is the honor that should be given to him and all those in similar situation. The man Obama has shown us, confirmed to us, that no matter the etnic background, no matter the religion born into, we all have a heritage that we are either proud of or not, that we agree with or not, but in all that, we as individuals are responsible for our own decision making, actions and words that we speak. If there is any judging to be done or made let it be based on what he has presented and how he (re)acts to it. Bottom line, he is the President of the USA by what he has done, said and stand for. He deserves my highest respect and has it too. What about you! May God Almighty bless him and his family, his administration and their families in their endeavours. May His protection be upon them all, because they need it. Go President Barack Obama, go.
