Obama's Taqiyya

Reader comment on item: Barack Obama through Muslim Eyes

Submitted by Bamaguje (Israel), Aug 29, 2008 at 08:10

Taqiyya may explain why many Americans are unwilling to believe Obama is a Christian. In view of his Muslim roots, one does not really know if he is a Taqiyya practicing Muslim pretending to be a Christian for the purpose of winning the American presidential election. Taqiyya may also explain why many Muslims appear to cut Obama some slack even though he is supposedly an apostate. They probably also consider his Christian claim to be a Taqiyya strategy for winning the American presidential election, since an overt professing Muslim couldn't possibly get anywhere near the United States presidency - not after 9/11.
