Mr. Termanini,

Your concerns are understandable, however, please consider the following:

1) The Democratic Party is really lost. At the very roots of this party are secular progressives and elitists who are driving forth a neo-pagan movement with the goal of destroying Christianity, which they attribute to the much of the world's problems because of the philosophy of freedom and capiltiism derived from it's teachings, despite the fact that they themselves have profited from it immensely. I'm not talking about all democrats here, but I am talking about what this party has become, especially in recent years.

The Democratic politicians have a long history of being afraid of the word "no." No, we can't spend money on this, no we can't go to war here, no we can't do that....you get the idea.

2) Barack Obama tries to portray himself as different from the rest through little gestures like letting a few "commoners" (presumably, ones who don't stick to their guns and religion) who gave $5 or so to sit in the front row center at the DNC.

3) Obama won't declare anything about his religion for the following:

a) He is not going to declare himself a Christian, because there are many visible non-Christian elements in the Democratic Party, and those who are Chrisiitan almost prefer to keep their silent and second to the mass-delusion of "progress."

b) Many of the convention protesters are angry at Obama because he is too conservative. For him to even mention Christianity would boil their blood. It's just who some of these people are, and those without a strong spiritual foundation are often quick to anger and governed by their emotions. It's the new party platform for the democrats.

c) Obama has ties to Wright, Rev. Pfleger, and therefore to Louis Farrakan. Conservatives have been beating this drum for months and months and will do so over and over again.

4) As I'm sure you already know, sharia law doesn't really mean much over here in the states. Many Islamic nations have loosely govern with it.

All in all, Obama will be avoiding religion for reasons that go well beyond Islam.
