It's the Fruit that Shows a Christian's Heart

Reader comment on item: Barack Obama through Muslim Eyes
in response to reader comment: "Obama gave an answer regarding his faith at Saddleback" - no, he didn't

It took some time to answer this, to thinking back on this: that if anyone could look into the eyes of someone on television and see their heart, then everyone who is on television is transparent. Such is not the case, so for this reader to say definitely that the audience was being told the truth when those words were uttered was merely giving a 'benefit of a doubt.'

The practical reality, however, since it is hard to use a television Q&A show to base an educated opinion, that there are more compelling reasons to view the candidacy of Barack Obama with a cautious eye. His own words in his tome "Audacity of Hope', casting more than a casual nod towards his Muslim/ethnic background, just as he does in his other published manuscript, should be of a graver concern, since, like his Muslim compatriot Ellison, endangers the subliminal Christian undertones of American politics, no matter how secular the non-believing ntagonists against Christian influences would love America to be. There is plenty more to reason against the candidacy (like the incomplete information on Hawaiian citizenship), but these are the key ones for this reader.

So yes, Sen. Obama did give an answer, and in the vein of the forum, it was the one many wanted to hear. For those of use who were listening with a more discerning ear, we heard what we needed to as well, though I am sure the sound bite was different depending on whether one was listening with a 'left' ear, or a 'right' one.
