What the hell is Taqiyyah, haa ?

Reader comment on item: Barack Obama through Muslim Eyes
in response to reader comment: BELIEVING MUSLIMS WORLDWIDE WOULD SEE OBAMA'S CONVERSION TO CHRISTIANITY AS A CASE OF "TAQQIYAH" (PIOUS DECEPTION)

I think Obama was largely raised by his christian grandparents in christian or secular ways in Hawaii. It is true he irregularly and blank-mindedly practiced islam as a little child, but it was just following his stepfather's rituals without really understanding what he was doing. His stepfather himself wasn't really a good moslem. He drank alcohol and belonged to the secular class in Indonesia.

And by the way, the term Taqiyyah doesn't exist in islam. May be it's just a term in a small group of extremist moslems, created to justify their violent acts or just simply an arabic word you quoted to discredit islam out of your hatred. Show me the verse in Qor'an that says the word if it really exists. As a moslem and in my time of learning Qor'an, I have never heard of it, let alone Obama who is far from islam. ...
