US Congress approval of Israeli attack on Lebanon

Reader comment on item: Israel's Unnecessary War

I have read that the US Congress voted to support the Israeli war on Hezbollah. Even though I have read this I have not been able to confirm it.

First: I don't believe this. It seems it's another part of the arab conspiracy to twist and spin the truth about the relationship between Israel and the US.
