RE: Israels dilemma

Reader comment on item: Israel's Unnecessary War in Lebanon

Daniel Pipes is correct in all aspects, however, Israel is surrounded by hostile arabs and Persians who simply want Israel to disappear as a nation. No action or lack of action will change the inherent mindset of the Islamic fanatics. The global war against terrorism is being fought by several nations and they have, thus far, been no more successful than Israel.

Look at America and the lack of significant help we receive in Iraq and our futile attempts at reason in the case of Iran--a terrorist sponsoring state with designs on the destruction of America. The war on terror will only be won if we find a way to become energy independent and stop funding the terrorist who are armed by the revenues of oil which is now becoming a terrorist tool to wreak havoc on western civilization and the destruction of Israel--because the Jews are there. Russia, China and Europe need to step up to the plate in a significant manner if the world is to avoid TOTAL ALL OUT WAR.
