Will Israel Learn

Reader comment on item: Israel's Unnecessary War in Lebanon

Submitted by Michael (United States), Jul 19, 2006 at 10:24

Just today we hear from Beilin that Israel is being irresponsible and should start negotiations with Hezbollah. How long will their resolve last is the ultimate question. A government built on the premise of compromise will be hard pressed to maintain a militaristic posture for too long.

Eventually the resolve will dissipate and negotiations will come into play. In this case negotiations would be the death knell of what we know as Israel. I hope and pray that this does not happen and that the IDF stays the course and dismantles the latest in a never ending supply of threats to the existence of Jews and Israel. Without a nation of their own Jews have been subjected to all kinds of horrific pogroms and death.

Now that we have our own country we have the right to defend it at all costs.
