America's parallel actions to Israeli appeasement

Reader comment on item: Israel's Unnecessary War in Lebanon

Submitted by Harvey Wenick (United States), Jul 18, 2006 at 17:06

Your comments regarding Israeli appeasement could not be more true nor more pertinent as the present conflict is now being played out. Israel, however is not alone with this malady. As I have pointed out in the letter- to- the- editor below, the U.S. had its' own Oslo and the ever-so-patient-spit-in-your-face terrorist Arabs treat us with the same distain as they have for Israel.

"Incredible that anyone can condemn Israel for excessive use of force in responding to acts of terrorism on their soil. True, Arab hatred for one another and their overall hatred of Jews has existed for many centuries. But, the pathetic response of one-time U.S. President Jimmy Carter to the terrorist takeover of our embassy in Iran has directly led to the unmitigated false bravery and undeserved confidence that terrorist's possess today.

Neither we, nor Israel nor any nation that lives in free democratic peace should ever hesitate to preserve our peaceful intentions."
