Reader comment on item: Israel's Unnecessary War in Lebanon
in response to reader comment: You cannot judge what war is unless you have been a veteran

Submitted by Ron (United States), Jul 20, 2006 at 23:01

I too served my country,in the Viet Nam era, fighting for my country and my 'freedom'.Unlike you,I do not have to go into detail about winning medals and other decorations.

If the Hezbollah,Taliban, and the other terrorist didn't hide behind women and children,in schools and mosques, there would not be so many innocent people killed. I have absolutely no respect for an enemy who has to hide his face, and I have no respect for a terrorist group who has to hide behind women and children! If he is a man, then let him come out and fight like a man! You judged me too quickly,I have also served my country, and I know that war is hell.
