It is the extreme left in Israel that is currently ruling the country, and you precisely described their way of thinking. They are not only imposing their views undemocratically on most of the Israeli Society, but furthermore, they pressure the US Administration to publicly pressure Israel to do most irresponsible gestures with the Palestinians such as the disengagements etc.

Unfortunately, the Administration goes along with their pressures rather than opposing them. After all, this is not only an issue for Israel, It is more so a US and global issue, as the entire middle east is turning to be a huge State of Terror. In my opinion, one of the worst advisors to Israel and the US was and is Denis Ross. He was constantly pushing and pressuring Israel through the US Administration for the Oslo Agreement and for his "Peace Now" views. As a result, Terror got so much stronger and Israel got so much weaker in the eye of the terrorists. In my opinion, these type of actions taken by such advisors are to blame for the current situation world wide.

I am wondering, Why are the Hezbollah and the Hamas considered to be a separate group and not a State? Isn't Hezbollah holding 24 seats in the Lebanese Government? Isn't the Hamas the official democratically elected Government in Gaza? If so, why does Israel have to worry about hitting civilians, while Gaza and Lebanon are shooting into a mass of Israeli civilians? Why Does Israel have to treat Palestinian POW's as human, and return them alive, while the Palestinians in Lebanon and Gaza torture Israeli POW's and return them dead?

Also, I think the UN must have a set of rules for terrorists which fits the way they are acting against others, and not to treat them equally like the rest of the world. They are brutal and cruel enemies of humanity, and have no regard for women nor children, not even of their own. They brainwash their own children to blow themselves up in a crowd killing as many as possible innocent civilians. I think if they will be treated the same way they treat others, they will refrain from behaving the way they do, but under the current laws they have nothing to lose.
