Dr. Daniel Pipes : ' A Guardian of Zion who neither slumbers nor sleeps'

Reader comment on item: Israel's Unnecessary War in Lebanon

Submitted by Ben van de Polder (United States), Jul 19, 2006 at 01:14

Dr.Pipes has risen admirably to the occasion and shown himself to be the a true 'Guardian of Zion' . The presentation of this award to him in May prompted people to comment that they wished he would run for the Prime Minister or become President of Israel. http://www.danielpipes.org/article/3667

In his article Dr.Pipes shows that if he was in power - there would have been no Hizbollah missiles, arms to Abbas,Oslo, appeasement., or prisoner exchanges, leading up to what he so aptly termed, "Israel's Unnecessary War."

Indeed as Dr.Pipes concludes "the real test is what the Israeli public learns or fails to learn".

Let's hope and pray that Israeli politicians and public pay heed to his words and refuse to be pushed by Olmert and the Kadima 'Forward' party further towards the abyss of denial and defeatism.
