Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran

Submitted by Jordan (United States), Mar 13, 2006 at 13:32

Just briefly reading some posts on this board only goes to support what I already believe: Muslims and Christians will never get along. They've been going at it for over 1000 years, and will continue to do so. I hope they will one day, but I seriously doubt it. I saw a news story regarding the possible discovery of life on other planets. This made me think, what would the aliens think about us? They would see all that we have achieved as humans, all the technology, intelect, and so on. They would also see that instead of working together for the good of all humans to explore space and make positive contributions for people of all religions, we are stuck using all of our technology to make better weapons to kill each other. And for what? Truly sad.

When they do find a way to live on Mars or another planet, I want to be the first one on the ship/.
