Son of Man

Reader comment on item: Pope Benedict XVI and the Koran
in response to reader comment: About Jesus

I think you are forgetting that Jesus was born unto man, he was born of man, to man. He is our savior, the son or God, yet man's protector. He was born to save mankind, born from Mary, born for mankind, into our lives and populations. This is why he called himself Son of Man. Do you not think that the religious men over centuries have ever seen this, and willfully disregarded it?

Furthermore, do you really think the Son of God would have so much insecurity to have to go around and self-proclaim Himself as the Son of God. He emphasized himself as the Son and hence the Servant of mankind, not as the almighty God the Father.

Jesus is the epitome of humility, goodness, and quite literally godliness on earth.
