As much as I see how good a person you are as much as I can not understand how Islam could replace the beauty, the peace, love, mercy, tolerance, divine, heavenly message of Christ. It is either you haven't read the Quran, but you should read in its original language to understand that Quran can not provide comfort to its followers, I have read it several times, I know about hundreds if not thousnads of hadith and most importantly I know Sira't al rasool (Muhammad's) biography, he is not a prophet and can not be a prophet from the same GOD that is our heavenly father. I consider Muhammad like billions others as a smart man who get his people together and he sure had a political mind and political agenda. Islam did NOT bring anything new to the world, on the contrary, it brought its followers to the time of even older than old testoment.

You are fantasizing about Islam but it is only a fantasy, your faith and spiritual life the way you describe it is not from Islam it is from your Christianity roots. Your spiritual life is something in you it is not what you had from Islam.
