God Loving and Just, Really?

in response to reader comment: God is a Loving and Just, Really?

I just visited my brother-in-law. He has Huntington's disease. For those who don't know what it is, it is an insidious disease of the brain that robs the body's ability to control muscles. He's gone from being a linebacker- sized, fun loving good person to a bag of bones, former artist who shakes and jerks constantly, cannot walk, talk, feed himself, is incontinent yet remains metally alert. How much love is God showing him? Or the family that is trying to take care of him? Where's the compassion, justice, understanding? The man has done nothing to deserve this torture or condition. Why would God let this happen to him or anyone else? Don't try to say Satan is responsible. The question remains, why? Because there is no God. If so, then he's not the being people try to say he is. Remember. This is the entity that allowed Job to suffer to win a bet with Satan. Allowed his children to die on a whim. Who brought misery upon an innocent man, again to win a bet. What kind of selfish entity does this? Then refused to explain to Job why he was "punished" although he never did anything wrong? Same with my brother-in-law. A just, righteous man whose last days are hell on earth, just because of the misfortune of bad genetics. If God is all-powerful, why would he choose to not help this man out?
