Beginning of Islamic TerrorismReader comment on item: "Death to America" Submitted by Captain Michael J. Larkin (United States), Sep 9, 2002 at 19:03 Good synopsis, but I think Islamic terrorism started with George Habash and the PFLP in the sixties..remember the four Int'l airliners hijacked and blown up in the Jordanian desert in 1968?? (TWA, Pan Am, Swissair, Lufthansa??) An Act of War!That is when the West should have declared war on Islamism, and destroyed it! Claire Stirling wrote a good book back then entitled, "The Terror Network". The network was world wide and involved the Red Guard, the Provos in Ireland, Japanese Red Army, Black Panthers, Weathermen, ..it was finanaced primarily by the Russians and its goal was to destabilize all the western democracies. It failed everywhere except Palestine... Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
