You feel sorry for me?

Reader comment on item: "Death to America"
in response to reader comment: Violence Isn't Islamic

Mr. Illian, your brushstrokes are much too liberal. I do read about killings being done by Muslims, and I see it on news reports almost daily. I'm not saying all Muslims are violent, but you cannot deny what is happening in the Middle East. My question to you is , why are the non-violent Muslims who live in America or France or Holland not speaking out against the animals that are commiting random murder for whatever cause they believe in? Muslims here in America speak out only when one of theirs was detained for one reason or another and claim racial profiling against the authorities. The Oklahoma City bombing was committed by a Christian. But every Christian I know denounced it loudly.

I was a big fan of the I.R.A.'s and the Basque's positions until they turned to terrorism. Now I believe them to be nothing more than the animals that they act like. I don't believe that all Germans are evil murderers. But I wonder how many German mothers and fathers looked upon their children with pride when their children came home for the first time wearing their uniforms of the Hitler youth movement.

You don't understand me completely. I believe that any radical religious group can be dangerous. This has been proven to be true time and time again, The Crusades, however many there were, were holy wars. There was the Spanish Inquisition, run by the Church, The French government, I think during the Renaisance, was run by the Church. There were infamous witchhunts in early New England, the Catholic-Protestant battles in Ireland. Non of these are anything to speak of with pride.

I have not even heard of Sufi mysticism or Rumi or Ghibran. I have only heard two small passages from the Koran. I've never read them myself, but if they are not true, please tell me. The first one is, " If you are friend to the Jew or the Christian, then you are one yourself." The second is,"If you pray to the Trinity, then your abode wil be fire."

Lastly, do not feel sorry for me. I am extremely comfortable with my beliefs and my view of life. I apologise to no one if I believe I'm right.
