We Never Seem to LearnReader comment on item: "Death to America" Submitted by Steven Hess (United States), Sep 9, 2002 at 08:20 Daniel Pipes' index of Muslim terror ought to be produced on a plastic card and carried in every wallet and purse, lest we forget. What is worrisome about all the 9/11 ceremony this week is that it suggests (to me at least) a certain cluelessness. This isn't Pearl Harbor Day, this isn't Memorial Day, this isn't Veteran's Day, memorializing noble and heroic history. We are in the thick of it; the sacrifices and slaughter of innocents isn't about to be over. The war has hardly started. We should have confronted the Nazis and Japan in the mid-thirties and we should have faced up to Muslim terror in the eighties. We paid the price in the forties and we will have to pay the price again. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
