The way I read it, if you go back as far as you can in history, this little piece of land was known as Canaan. God was offended by the way the Canaanites lived, so he ordered the Isrealites to take this land from them. That was their land until Rome invaded, and started allowing their Egyptian allies to rule over it. The Isrealites rebelled against Rome and paid a heavy price for it. So, the way I read it, it's the Palestinians who should be searching for a home, not the Israelis.
